Although the product line has changed ownership several times over its 90-year history, the GA Industries Rotovalve® Cone Valves have direct lineage to the original S.Morgan Smith cone valves of York, Pennsylvania. They are quarter-turn, full ported, metal-to-metal seated valves that can be used for isolation or pump control service on water, wastewater or sewage.
The Rotovalve® Cone Valve has a one-piece, top-entry body design with Monel to Monel metal to metal seating that shuts off tight in both directions. It incorporates a unique 'lift and turn' operating mechanism that ensures the plug rotates without seat contact for long term reliable operation.
When used for isolating or throttling service the valve can be actuated by a manual worm gear or an electric motor operator.
For pump control service, the Rotovalve® Cone Valve is typically actuated by a cylinder operator to control surges during pump start up and shutdown plus its full circular port and unobstructed waterway provides virtually zero headloss while pumping. The cylinder can be operated by water, oil or air and controls include normal and emergency solenoids, speed controls and limit switch.

Set-up NowFrom the raw water intake to the filtration plant to the finished waster distribution and storage system, GA Industries valves have been providing dependable service in large and small water systems. GA Industries pump control, check and relief valves mitigate damaging pressure surges and eliminate slam and bang that can result from the operation of water pumps.
Our full range of pilot operated control valves regulate distribution system pressure and prevent overflow of storage tanks and reservoirs. Air trapped in water pipelines can reduce system efficiency and exacerbate pressure surges. Our wide range of automatic air valves ensures we have the right valve to maintain an air free system.
And when it’s necessary to isolate a pump, process or section of pipeline, you can depend on GA Industries butterfly valves for reliable flow shutoff.
GA Industries sewage and wastewater valves are specially designed to accommodate the rigorous demands of the sewage collection, pumping and treatment process.
Whether a large regional sewage pump station, a small lift station or in-plant process pumping, GA Industries line of wastewater check, pump control and surge relief valves provide reliable service under difficult operating conditions. GA Industries ECO-Centric® plug valves handle solids and stringy material and are used in sewage and wastewater systems for pump, pipeline or process isolation.
Our full range of sewage and wastewater air valves automatically release air and sewage gas from forcemains to maintain pumping efficiency and minimize pipeline corrosion.
